My My Metzenseifen Page draws the most interest and the information is timely for anyone researching their immigrant relatives who came from there and settled in the Ohio area. I do check those links every few months. My Schmidt Page is our search for my husband's past. We are genuinely interested in making contact with anyone who may have known his father's aunt Alice "Tasy" Schmidt (Smith) and her artist husband, Maurice Delavier, who lived in Paris, France. My Pop's old photographs are a nostalgic look back to old Florida in the 1920's and 1930's...... ....And then there is my E. G. Barnhill Postcard Shop where you can email your friends a virtual Florida greeting! ....Please be sure to stop by and visit my friends, Gary and Janet Priem, who are missionaries to Kenya, Africa, at their website: Missions to the World. Looking for some fine Florida art? My favorite Florida landscape artist is Charles Rowe. Check out the breathtaking artwork on his website at: http://www.chasrowe.com/ My Index is below, and THANKS SO MUCH for dropping by for a visit! God Bless you real good! :o) |

You are a true Floridian if...... You are a true Floridian if.....I got this in an email from my friend, Avie. When I did a search for it (to credit the author) I found it in a 1999 post on darlcomm.com. If anyone knows the author, please email me!
...You won't pull off the road just to look at an alligator.
...You realize that the only reason for Georgia's existence is to provide extra billboard space for advertising Florida.
...You understand the utter futility of exterminating cockroaches.
...You understand the only escape from mosquitos is death.
...You wear a sweater when it gets below 70 degrees.
...You don't even consider Miami a nice place to visit.
...You can remember when there was no good reason to go to Orlando.
...You don't yell "SHARK" when you see a group of porpoise playing in the surf.
...Your definition of "waterfront property" doesn't include condominium apartments on man-made canals 20 miles from the ocean.
...You laugh when Northerners say that Florida doesn't have a change of seasons, because you know the rates are much lower after Labor Day.
